But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6
God’s children should not walk by sight but by faith. In Hebrews 11 the apostle Paul exhorts us to have faith in God. We find other passages where the Bible exhorts us to trust God. The righteous will live by faith!
But what exactly is faith? Faith is a firm assurance of the things we hope for, and a manifestation of the things we don’t see. A person who has faith to achieve something will act accordingly. If we say we have faith to implement a project for example, works must follow. To say that we have faith without acting accordingly is a vain assertion. A person who has faith will not doubt the ability of God to carry out his project.
Faith is also a gift from God. People who have it, experience amazing and surprising miracles. It is one of the nine spiritual gifts.
Every day, our faith is challenged. We encounter all kinds of obstacles and only with faith are we able to move the mountains in front of us.
