One person testified that, as a young child, she suffered rejection at school because of a disability. Another shared that she suffered rejection because of her level of education. We have all suffered rejection at least once in our lives
We may not feel loved because of our physical differences or differences of opinion. Rejection hurts and each blow we endure hurts even more. And if we don’t watch out, we can get into a vicious cycle of thinking that the problem is only other people’s fault.
The risk is to withdraw into yourself and thus prevent God’s plan from being fulfilled in your life.
We are not always aware that we can suffer rejection. People who suffer from rejection can also suffer from isolation, susceptibility. They may find it difficult to build strong relationships! Rejection is devious and subtle. We must always examine our hearts and ask ourselves this question: am I suffering from rejection?
Jesus too was rejected, yet He continued to reach out to others! No matter what anyone said or thought of Him. He had a mission to fulfill and He knew that rejection would prevent Him from being a source of blessings for others. God can give you the strength to overcome rejection, to continue to reach out to others, to develop strong and lasting relationships. God wants to make you a source of blessings for others .
