I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise will always be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1
A few days ago I came across a viral video of an airplane pilot shouting his joy because he had just landed a plane for the first time. He was so happy because, according to him, many people had doubted his abilities. People had said that he would never make it. With perseverance and determination he finally succeeded in what he wanted to do.
At the airport, this gentleman was giving thanks and was grateful to God who had helped him to meet this challenge. He danced, he sang, he was in joy.
As I watched this video, I thought to myself that it is true that we have so many reasons to give thanks to our Lord. So many times God has answered us and so many times we have forgotten to thank Him. What if today we started the day by thanking Him?
The Bible tells us that Jesus healed ten blind people. How many really came back to say thank you? … only one! To praise God means to ” enumerate his blessings”. We have so many reasons to say: thank you to Jesus. Thank you Lord for my children, my family, my work… Thank you Lord for eternal life!
