Cory Asbury’s reimagined version of “Dear God”, from his recent album To Love A Fool, features a strong and familiar voice — his wife Anna Asbury. Cory has named the song the most honest and vulnerable he’s ever written. It explores what it feels like to fail God (on a near-daily basis), and yet try to let Him love us in spite of it all. I wrote this song with my good friends, Matt Maher and Caleb Culver (Matt's playing piano in the video by the way). I recorded it about 3 weeks ago thinking I'd release it sometime this Fall, but as I've looked around at what's been going on in our world, I felt now was the appropriate time.
