Acquaint now thyself with Him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee. Job 22:21
The ups and downs of life are part of our daily life and this is how we realize our limitations. We are weak, but fortunately we have a God who is strong! There is a time for everything, a time for laughter, for tears, for trials, but also to rejoice. What to do when life seems complicated, when there is no hope in sight? God does not wish us to befriend despair. With our Lord, there is always a future and hope.
In the midst of the trial you are going through right now, God wants to fill you with His peace. A peace that surpasses all understanding. While nothing seems to be going well in your life, the people around you see you serene and confident. In Christ, peace must not depend on circumstances, otherwise our faith may be unsettled. God’s peace must flood us in our daily lives because we know that our God has his eyes on us and that He does not wish our misfortune.
No matter what you are going through right now, the Lord wants to fill you with His peace. Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you.”
Let not your heart be troubled nor alarmed! The Lord knew that we would face difficult situations in our daily lives, he also went through this! He knew rejection, betrayal, disappointment, criticism, disdain… The list would be long! May the Lord always grant you his peace that is beyond all understanding.
