Matthew West est tout excité de partager quelques faits, réflexions et inspirations derrière les coulisses de « Truth Be Told » tourné en direct dans les cavernes dans le Tennessee, un lieu populaire de musique bluegrass qui se trouve littéralement dans une grotte. Lorsque nous filmons, tout le monde doit rester très silencieux, car chaque bruit se répercute et rebondit sur le mur. C'est la première fois que je me produis dans une grotte. « Truth be told » est une chanson importante pour moi et la jouer dépouillée dans ce lieu magnifique m'a inspiré. Il a terminé en disant : Combien de fois sommes-nous plus préoccupés par l'apparence que par ce qui se passe sous la surface ?

My husband passed away in November 2020 from covid and my daughter had cancer in 2011 they removed her right lower lobe and it came back in the other lung in April 2021 and they took her left lower lung out and 2 lymph nodes. She is having a really hard time and they keep finding things wrong she is a psych nurse for 20 years and all she wants is to get back to work. Now my brother-in-law (my husband’s brother) is dying and you showed me with this song that’s it’s ok not to be that perfect Christian but really let them know that I’m not fine God Bless You and yes I’m not fine

I like this song it speaks to me… I'm fine it ok I'm good but it's not so true.. it's ok Jesus understands and loves us the way we are… this song is beautiful…
I grew up in a Catholic family where parents were often heard saying "God's gonna get you for that" as a way of instilling fear and obedience. That's NOT how God works. He accepts me sins and all and wants to cleanse me from them. He is my Abba and He already knows the truth. There is nothing I can hide from Him. LOVE this song! Thank you !!

Matthew, thank you so much for this song. I am really good at hiding how I am doing. Sometimes all I can say is "Jesus" but that is enough to get me through. I do know that I will not be problem free and perfect until I get to Heaven so what a glorious day that will be. For now I just need to do the best I can and ask God to let His light & love shine through me.
