Such a shame that Jon lost his faith. But I hope he knows how much of a blessing he has been to all the young people that loved HNs music, that he is loved, and that God is always there for him.

It's like the user Star Wars Soapbox said. Just because the 2nd lead singer(Jon Steingard , the 1st was Jason Dunn) turned away from Christianity doesn't mean the song loses it's meaning. In fact it can enhance it because even when the singer leaves God still uses it for glory. I might've butchered up the last part he or she said.

Lyrics:They've made me feel like a prisoner They've made me feel set free They've made me feel like a criminal Made me feel like a king . They've lifted my heart To places I'd never been And they've dragged me down Back to where I began . Words can build you up Words can break you down Start a fire in your heart or Put it out . Let my words be life Let my words be truth I don't wanna say a word Unless it points the world back to You . You can heal the heartache Speak over the fear (Speak over the fear) God, Your voice is the only thing We need to hear (We need to hear) . Words can build us up Words can break us down Start a fire in our hearts or Put it out . Let my words be life Let my words be truth I don't wanna say a word Unless it points the world back to You (Back to You) . Let the words I say (Let the words I say) Be the sound of Your grace (Sound like Your grace) I don't wanna say a word Unless it points the world back to You . I wanna speak Your love Not just another noise Oh, I wanna be Your light I wanna be Your voice . Let my words be life Let my words be truth I don't wanna say a word Unless it points the world back to You (Back to You) . Let the words I say (Let the words I say) Be the sound of Your grace (Sound like Your grace) I don't wanna say a word Unless it points the world back to You (Back to You) . Words can build us up Words can break us down Start a fire in our hearts Or put it out . I don't wanna say a word Unless it points the world back to You

I still love listening to Hawk Nelson, even though Jon doesn't believe in God anymore.

Motivational Monday 2Words by Hawk Nelsonhttps://youtu.be/Bf_H7Lwl0FIHappy Monday!I am so happy the new week is here.I did something last week I normally don’t do. After watching the events on Wednesday, I was so disappointed that I posted on Facebook. I know better.I try to stay away from politics because it’s a topic a lot of people feel very strongly about. I knew that but I posted how disappointed I was anyway. And before you say anything, today’s Motivational Monday is not political. It’s about the importance of the words we choose to use.Words are powerful. They can be used to lift someone up or to tear someone down. They can be used to bring peace or they can incite riots. They can be used to make you courageous or they can make you fearful. They can encourage you to be the best you can be or they can bring shame and make you doubt yourself. They can be used to tell the truth or they can spread lies and deceive. They can spread love and unite people or they can spread hate and divide them.Words are powerful.I pray everyday the words I use are positive and spread love. I ask everyday for God to use me to show His love to everyone who crosses my path. This doesn’t mean I tell everyone I run into that God loves them; it just means I ask for the strength and opportunity to be an example of God’s love for them. I want to use good words, be kind to people and let them know I see them. But like everyone else in this world, I am human. I’m not perfect and I do have feelings. So when I saw the events unfold on Wednesday, I stated my sadness and disappointment which then opened up a super-sized can of ugly, disgusting worms. I became anxious and angry and then I became disappointed in myself because I knew better. I let the actions and words of others take away my inner peace and struggled most of the day.Words are powerful.Whether they’re ones you use to speak with others, others use to speak to you or ones that are written.Words are powerful.I hope this week you are aware of what you say to others and that you use your words for only good. You are beautiful, kind and very loved,Rosie Hendrix“Kind words are a creative force, a power that concurs in the building up of all that is good, and energy that showers blessings upon the world." -Lawrence G. 1 person made a good point when he or she said this. Just because the lead singer turned away from Christianity doesn't mean that the song loses it's meaning. In fact it might enhance it because even though the lead singer turned away from Christianity God stills it talk to us.
